Assessment

The first step in the levelgrinding.com core process is Assessment. Effective assessment requires a set of skills that all people are born with to some degree but which, like most skills, must be developed. There are many components to assessment and many aspects. Some skills must be learned, others honed to a fine point.

Assessment is the marriage of analytical and critical thinking. Analysis consists of mentally looking “under the hood” or the ability to ask “What exactly IS it? What does it DO? And HOW does it work?”. Critical thinking allows us to ask “How WELL does it work?” and “Which parts do we need to change to make it work BETTER?”

Essentially, Assessment identifies the Problem or Situation.
