Well I guess that’s a bit of a tough question, but I’d have to say that enlightenment involves several key concepts: - perception, consciousness and wisdom - a clarity of one’s place in the universe and the connectedness of all things - a vision which replaces the banality of everyday physical existence by inner peace, joy, and wisdom.
Jesus’ teachings speak of throwing off the trappings of worldly desires and living on a higher level guided by love and energized with joy, compassion and power. He lives in “the kingdom of heaven” while walking the earth with no possessions but the shirt on his back. He speaks with perception, wisdom, and authority. Trees and rocks do his bidding.
